Vineyards and Wine
Green vineyards, beautiful flowers and newly formed grapes are becoming visible on the vines; the growing season is in full swing. We are now busy with suckering, which is the process of removing surplus and unnecessary shoots to allow better light and air on the vines. This will bring forth healthy, lush fruit and reduce the risk of diseases.
We are excited to say that all our 2017 Sauvignon Blanc has been bottled and is ready to be shipped into the market. The process of malolactic fermentation in the red wines are completed and we are preparing the barrels for the wine to quietly develop and mature for the next 12 months.
The Restaurant @ Clos Malverne
Our restaurant at Clos Malverne is a magnificently appointed Winelands hotspot in Devon Valley and is giving jaded palates more than enough reason to wake from winter hibernation with our new fresh summer menu’s. Our chef Nadia Smith Louw will wet your appetites with her mouth-watering 4-course pairing menu Food & Wine Pairing Menu Summer 2017 A la Carte Menu Summer 2017 . And remember our favourite summer staple; homemade ice cream paired with wines, a sensational tasting!
